Incredibly honored to have been published in the 6th Anniversary edition of ALEGRIA MAGAZINE— The Women and Activism Edition! When I first wrote my Chingona Manifesto, I wrote it for a younger, less wise me.. really for the girl I was at the age of 17. But over the past year, having my words shared countless times, quoted, and now printed here, I have been so incredibly overwhelmed by the responses I’ve gotten. Words are so much more powerful than we can imagine and I am humbled by the impact this piece has made.... and to be honest, despite all of that, I still I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing my words in print. 😊 Mil gracias Davi Efe! 🙏🏽
Catch me on Betsy Aimee’s podcast The Currently this morning! We talked about so many things, from wealth building, homeownership and my start in entrepreneurship to my book, my own personal struggles with depression and how I navigate my personal development and self care, even now and about finding your fire through it all. 🔥
With the hashtag #MeToo going around, this is such a timely reminder even for me. I shared my own experiences with assault for the first in my book and then a bit on how I spiraled into depression here on the podcast. I live in my light by choosing to share my experiences and how I’ve dealt with them, and if just one other person can gain insight that can serve them, then I am living my purpose. ✨ Thank you @betsyaimeec for giving me the opportunity to do that. ❤️
